Our Company :: History
The A. L. Larsen Co., Inc. Story
When he left the Hansen Type Foundry in 1919 to begin his own business with the help of his son Erving, machinist Anton Lauritz Larsen laid the foundation for one of this country’s most successful printing equipment companies. Today, 88 years and three generations later, A. L. Larsen Co., Inc. serves printers in all six New England states. The company is a source for both new and used prepress, press and bindery equipment, and certain graphic arts supplies from a number of outstanding manufacturers.
The future of the A. L. Larsen Company will continue “more of the same”, according to Rick Larsen, President of A. L. Larsen Co., Inc. “We’re planning to keep on our current track and do it even better as a result of the changing technology available to our industry. That means providing a quicker response for parts and service and providing an unprecedented level of support to our customers. We plan to keep on improving our facilities, and we will always work toward improving our capabilities for serving our customers in the printing industry.”
Anton Lauritz Larsen and his son, Erving, would be proud!
